Your gift to LASOC’s MedLaw Project is an investment in your community. Med law Project is aimed at stabilizing families and providing solutions that to help refer low-income individuals who enter a participating medical facility to a legal professional.

Your support enables the Med Law Project to:

* Refer Low Income or Indigent Patients to Legal Assistance
* Protect spouses and children from domestic violence;
* Safeguard the elderly against fraud and abuse;
* Help families, children and elderly obtain health insurance and other benefits;
* Assist homeless individuals with legal issues to help them become self-sufficient;

Additionally, patients referred to the Legal Aid Society of Orange County are also able to take advantage of other programs designed to assist the poor including:

* Providing individuals with help in filing taxes and obtaining tax benefits to which they are entitled;
* Encouraging economic development through its Earned Income Tax Credit/I-CAN!TM E-File Program.
